About Us

💌 From the Editors:

Turning 50 is no longer seen as the end, but a new beginning! In the era of longer and healthier lives, reaching 50 is a celebration of thriving rather than slowing down.

This has given rise to the concept of “thriving at 50 and beyond”, where individuals are actively embracing their golden years and making the most out of them.

The traditional concept of 50 being the age of retirement has become a thing of the past. With advancements in healthcare and technology, people are living longer and leading more active lifestyles well into their 50s, 60s, and beyond.

Advancements in healthcare and technology empower individuals to redefine aging, with 50 becoming a milestone marked by vitality and opportunity.

Our generation X is perhaps the first ever generation who are stepping into the age of 50 as the new Golden Age. According to studies, 50-60-year olds today can expect to live to 120 years, while the elderly can expect to live to 100, and younger people can expect to live beyond 120 years!!

So this is all very new, uncharted territory for us to explore!

The  biggest myth about aging is the ‘misery myth’, that people are destined to become more unhappy as they age, “it’s-all-downhill-from-here” point of view. But the stats show that mental health issues are worse at younger ages, and in fact people become happier as they age - less sad, less frustrated, and less angry!

A growing number of experts say it’s possible to thrive and flourish in those later years if we take the right steps now. The doom-and-gloom approach blocks our creative thinking about how living longer could help us live better throughout our lives. After all, you can't achieve what you can’t envision.

With this novel concept of Thriving at 50 and Beyond in mind,  Nick and I are starting our journey on how to thrive as you age, and how to live to 120 and beyond and love it.  😀

We are inviting you to join us! 🙂

Yours,

Nick and Elena 💕
